I’m Jermayne, a 29-year-old male from London. I currently work within sporting events within the third sector as I love to help others through the medium of sport. I’ve been running approximately 6 years (on a more serious level). I was also a sporty kid at school, regularly taking part in every sport under the sun and was a member of every sports team there was going.
Running became more important in my life when I moved to the big city. I found running as a tool to socialise, make long lasting friendships but also as a release from the hustle and bustle of working in the city. It gives me a way to tune out and recharge my batteries. After catching the bug, I haven’t looked back since!
In everything I do, I always aim to inspire people to be the best version of themselves. In running terms, whether that’s running your first 5k, half marathon or ultra, I really want people to believe they can achieve anything and as I like to say, see ordinary people doing extraordinary things.
I’m lucky in a sense that I’m a huge believer in self-motivation and I try to push myself to learn something new or achieve something every day. I am also constantly motivated by those around me to go beyond expectations.
